Check this out. Incredible artwork to support the retelling of a famous Maui legend from some of our year 3/4s. There is more of their class’s learning to view on their class blog -click on ‘Te Awhare Awhina’ down the left hand side navigation bar under class blogs.

Hi Te Whare Awhina, what an awesome story you have recreated!! Love the artwork and love the team work that must have happened in order for these pictures to be made.
I also want to thank you for being part of the powhiri and welcoming both my class and Sarah’s class onto the marae in Woodville. We had a fantastic time, and hope you did too.

This looks amazing. It is hard to believe that children your age completed this art work. Wow. I enjoyed sharing the marae trip with you too. David

What awesome art Te Whare awhina. What talented children you are. Rosie should be displaying your art in her brother’s art shop. You could be making some money for your end of term shared lunch. OOPs! Was I supposed to say that? Whaea Georgie
